the "40 Under Forty" award
Each year, the Puget Sound Business Journal awards the next generation of business leaders with a premier distinction, the “40 Under Forty” award. The newspaper publisher, Emory Thomas, and his team seek “people under the age of 40 who work hard to drive the business community’s future and demonstrate dynamic leadership and social responsibility,” according to the program Web site. Since the award launched in 1999, the publication has recognized 400 local leaders. To learn more about the award, visit www.40under40seattle.com.
